PINK BRAND OF THE YEAR 2015 AWARDS SHOW

On the 2nd of December 2015 the Pink Brand of the Year awards at Gay Discotheque Red & Blue in Antwerp were handed out. This award seeks to raise awareness of the LGBT community as consumers and brand ambassadors. Nineteen awards will be given: 1 in each category (18 in total) and one for the grand-prize winner with the most votes by online voters. For its third edition Brandhome, ZiZo magazine and Red & Blue join forces to organize this unique event. Well what’s in a name off course, but Pink In Our Lives couldn’t stay away from this festive evening. ;o)

At 19.00 o’clock there was already a queue waiting at the door for the reception with free drinks and special snacks

from the organizers. Free booze and food always attract the gays, but there was more than that….

The Belgian LGBT community is often a neglected target group in marketing terms, in spite of their interest in the latest trends, their refined taste and their overall sense of quality. Belgian marketeers do not always take their brand potential into account. With this award they show their support for our community and let us know we will be accepted as their consumers. They know we have style and class off course! LOL

Many openly Out celebrities and other LGBT-sympathizers came to this event to hand out an award, but also to connect with the crowd and enjoying our community in a different way. Belgian Celebrities and politicians that handed out an award were Hairdresser Peter Platel, Former top athletes Ivan Denis and Daniella Somers, Television maker Sven Pichal, Police commissioner of Antwerp Serge Muyters, Radio presenters Nathalie Delporte and Roos Van Acker, Mister gay Flanders 2015 Skelte Willems, Singers Kate Ryan and Jaouad Alloul, Stylist Heinz Gijbels, Actress Truus Druyts and the Mayor of Antwerp Bart De Wever and many more…. The award show was hosted by Openly gay News Anchor Wim De Vilder.

But the evening was not over before live band “COOKIES & CREAM” made us dance and enjoy the night with their great performance. Their energy filled up the club with more than thousand people and the atmosphere was superb. Around midnight DJ Licious & Sakso (live sax) took over till very early in the morning with playing the best beats for everybody.
